Santa Fe student on school shooting: ‘I’ve always kind of felt like eventually it was going to happen here too’
“I wasn’t surprised, I was just scared.”
A survivor of the mass shooting at a high school outside Houston, Texas, on Friday told a reporter at the scene she wasn’t surprised by the act of violence. “It’s been happening everywhere,” the Santa Fe High School student told ABC13’s Foti Kallergis. “I’ve always kind of felt like eventually it was going to happen here too.” “I wasn’t surprised, I was just scared,” she added.

Authorities say between eight and 10 people were killed, most of them students, when at least one gunman opened fire at the high school on Friday morning.
