Elizabeth Warren on health care vote: ‘This is not a drill’
Sen. Elizabeth Warren tweeted a video urging constituents to keep fighting against the Republican health care legislation as the Senate prepares for a procedural vote this afternoon.
The vote would allow the Senate to move forward with health care legislation. Republican leaders may get the votes they need, as Sen. John McCain is returning to Washington after his brain cancer diagnosis and conservative holdout Sen. Rand Paul indicating on Twitter that he is open to the vote.
“The Republicans are about to take us to the floor to vote on going forward on something that they’re calling a health care bill. Now I say ‘something’ because nobody’s read it, nobody knows what’s in it, but they want to go to the floor and start so they will be able to pass a repeal of the Affordable Care Act,” Warren said in the video.

“We need everybody out there and we need them out there now,” Warren said. “So if you’ve told your story, tell it again. If you’ve spoken out, speak out louder.”
