ESPN pulls Curt Schilling from this week’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcast
ESPN has removed former Red Sox ace Curt Schilling from this week’s installment of Sunday Night Baseball following his tweet of a meme that compared Muslims to Nazis, according to Sports Illustrated.
On Tuesday, the network pulled Schilling from its Little League World Series coverage after the tweet. At the time, ESPN said Schilling’s tweet was “completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective.’’
Schilling, who deleted the tweet, took responsibility for his actions on his Facebook page, calling it “a mistake on a few levels.’’
