Lindsey Graham shows how to demolish a phone after Donald Trump gave out his number

Sen. Lindsey Graham needs a new phone. That’s what happens when Donald Trump gives out your personal cell phone number to a national audience.

Fortunately, the Republican presidential candidate had several creative ideas on how to get ride of the old one.

The video, published by the Independent Journal Review, comes following a series of presidential-grade name-calling between Graham and Trump.

In a CNN interview Monday, Graham called Trump “a jackass’’ after Trump said that Sen. John McCain — Graham’s Senate colleague and friend — was “not a war hero.’’

Trump responded Tuesday at a South Carolina rally by calling Graham an idiot and giving out the senator’s personal cell phone number to the hundreds of audience members, as well as media covering the event.

Graham apparently did not immediately ditch his phone. According to TheWashington Post, the calls continued to come well into Tuesday evening. While going to a movie with Sen. Kelly Ayotte and her two kids, Graham handed off answering duties to the New Hampshire senator’s kids.

“The mailbox is definitely full,’’ Ayotte’s son told ThePost, as he and his sister, and the two senators, entered a theater showing of Minions.

On Twitter, however, the South Carolina senator signaled he would be getting a new phone.

Considering that Graham was still using a flip phone, he was probably due for an upgrade.

Update: Nevermind on the upgrade.
