All United Airlines flights in the U.S. — including flights from Logan Airport — are resuming Wednesday morning after they were grounded because of “automation issues,’’ the Federal Aviation Administration said.

“A computer issue affected United flights throughout its system this morning. At Logan, flights were held at their gates and are now reboarding,’’ said Matthew Brelis, a spokesperson for Massachusetts Port Authority said. United’s flights are “on their way back now,’’ he added.

United accounts for about 12 percent of flights out of Logan Airport, according to federal transportation data, making it the fourth-most common airline in Boston.
