Photos of Deer Island girl bring hundreds of tips
The release of computer-generated photos of what a toddler found on Deer Island may have looked like, as well as photos of what she was wearing when found, have resulted in authorities recieving hundreds of tips about her identity, The Boston Globe reports.
“There have been a good amount of leads provided about various missing children from around the country, and even some from overseas,’’ said State Police spokesman David Procopio.
A woman walking her dog along the western shoreline of Deer Island discovered the girl’s body. Deer Island, which houses a sewage treatment plant, extends from Winthrop out into Boston Harbor.
