Hillary Clinton signs absence note for 9-year-old in New Hampshire
A lot of students have to make up a reason when they skip class during their last week of school. But when 9-year-old Ollie Olsen missed school Monday, his absence note put all others to shame.

Ollie, a student at Greenland Central School, attended Hillary Clinton’s launch party in Concord, New Hampshire with his mother and grandfather, according to the campaign’s state press secretary, Julie McClain.
Just to be safe, he brought along an absence note to his third-grade teacher for the Democratic presidential candidate to sign. Clinton dutifully obliged, and the note was tweeted Tuesday afternoon by Clinton’s official campaign account.
While she was in New Hampshire, Clinton called for federally funded universal preschool and emphasized the importance of early childhood education. So Tuesday’s tweet was appropriately on-theme, if not also a bit of media misdirection.
According to McClain, Ollie intends on returning the favor. The 9-year-old and his grandfather plan on canvassing for Clinton throughout the summer.
