Former Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was arrested at his North Attleboro home on June 26, 2013 and charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Lloyd, 26, had been found riddled with bullets in an industrial park not far from Hernandez’s home a week before.

After hearing testimony from more than 130 prosecution witnesses, a jury found Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Lloyd. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Hernandez was also found guilty of two weapons charges.

Carlos Ortiz, an associate of Hernandez, was also charged with the murder of Lloyd. He has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.

Additionally, the Lloyd family filed a wrongful death suit against Hernandez, after his murder conviction. The suit has yet to go to court.

The families of Furtado and de Abreu also introduced wrongful death suits agaisnst the former Patriot, each seeking $6 million. These suits have not gone to court yet, either.
-

Along with the murder charges, Hernandez faces other counts related to allegedly injuring another person in that vehicle. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges as well.

Alexander Bradley, a former associate of Hernandez, is suing Hernandez in a Florida civil court. He says Hernandez shot him in the face following an argument after they left a Miami strip club. The suit has not gone to court yet.

Hernandez was charged last month with witness intimidation for allegedly shooting an unnamed person in Florida in February 2013 who had witnessed the 2012 double murder. Bradley alleges Hernandez shot him in the face February 2013. Hernandez will be arraigned Thursday, May 21.
