Mitt Romney is no stranger to taking jabs in public, but he might be punching above his weight against Evander Holyfield.

“Well it’s true I don’t have much of a right hook,’’ said Romney, a political heavyweight in his own right. “But when I get somebody’s ear, I can be pretty formidable.’’

For some reason, the 6-foot-1, 226-pound Holyfield was not intimidated by Romney’s trash talk.

“Mitt, you can’t run; you can’t hide. Come get your whoopin’,’’ he said.

The fight is being staged by CharityVision, a Utah-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing curable blindness and poor vision in 21 developing countries.

Romney and Holyfield are expected to weigh-in on Thursday.

Hey, it can’t be any worse than Mayweather-Pacquiao.
