Baltimore Cops Pepper Spray Man in ‘F— the Police’ Shirt (Video)
A video posted by the Associated Press shows police in Baltimore pepper-spraying and handcuffing a man, who was wearing a “F— the Police’’ shirt.
Police detained the man, as the city’s 10 p.m. curfew went into effect Saturday, in the same area where protests over Freddie Gray’s death turned to rioting last Monday, according to the AP. In the video, police drag the man out of the street, before pouring water over his eyes to treat the effects of the spray and calling a paramedic.
A Baltimore police spokesperson declined to immediately comment, but said the department would respond after assessing the footage.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake ordered the curfew, which was lifted Sunday, in an attempt to prevent further clashes between demonstrators and police.
State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby charged six officers in Gray’s death, including one with second-degree murder. The five other officers face several charges, including involuntary manslaughter, assault, and misconduct in office.
