Student Says Library Books Stopped a Bullet During the FSU Shooting
Jason Derfuss is a religious guy. And he took to Facebook this week to say God had saved his life.
The Florida State University student had checked out a library book about Medieval religious scholar John Wyclif early Thursday morning when he came across the Florida State University shooter. He ran to his car and thought he was untouched by the shooting spree.
When he got back home, he checked his backpack. Derfuss told the rest of his story on Facebook:

Derfuss told The Tallahassee Democrat that he handed over the books, bag, and slug over to police, but a department spokesperson declined to confirm or deny that it spoke with the student.
