Watch: World Trade Center Window Washers Rescued From Scaffolding
Two window washers at New York’s One World Trade Center were stuck on a dangling platform on Wednesday when one of the cables suspending them apparently snapped, leaving the platform tilted at a 45 degree angle, swaying in the breeze.
The workers were trapped about 69 stories up the south side of the building for about an hour. Firefighters were eventually able to rescue them by breaking a window and pulling them inside to safety. Video of the dramatic rescue is above.
