Fox News is About to Identify the SEAL Who Killed Bin Laden

The Navy SEAL who claims he fired the fatal shot that killed Osama Bin Laden will finally reveal his identity during a Fox News special scheduled to air next month.

Aptly titled “The Man Who Killed Usama Bin Laden,’’ the two-part documentary includes an interview with the serviceman, whose identity has been a secret since the 2011 raid on Bin Laden’s Pakistan compound.

“The documentary will provide an extensive, first-hand account of the mission, including the unexpected crash of one of the helicopters that night and why SEAL Team 6 feared for their lives,’’ according to a Fox News press release. “It will also touch upon what was taking place inside the terrorist compound while President Obama and his cabinet watched from the White House.’’

Esquire magazine also featured the SEAL in a March 2013 feature story about his life after the operation. While his name was not used, he described a number of financial struggles that have befallen his family in the wake of the mission.

Another member of the team was investigated and reprimanded by the Pentagon after his firsthand account of the raid, written under a pen name, allegedly revealed classified information.

The episodes will air from 10-11 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 12.
