Joe Biden’s Son was Discharged from the Navy After a Positive Cocaine Test
Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter was discharged as an ensign in the Navy Reserve earlier this year after he tested positive for cocaine, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Journal cites sources who told the paper that the 44-year-old former lobbyist lost the part-time position earlier this year.
“[It was] the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge,’’ Hunter told the paper in a statement. “I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.’’
Hunter was reportedly only commissioned for about a month before he failed the drug test last year. He was officially discharged last February.
