Ferguson: Shots Fired, Tear Gas Used Ahead of Midnight Curfew
Police fired tear gas and used ear-splitting long-range acoustic devices to drive protesters out of Ferguson’s streets Sunday night. The move came hours before Governor Jay Nixon’s midnight curfew for the city, according to dozens of reports in the field.
Ferguson has been the sight of protests and clashes with police for over a week since the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown, 18, by a Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.
