White House Gets All Clear After Short-Lived Lockdown
The White House has been given the all clear after an unattended package left along the North Lawn caused a lockdown, according to severalreports from White House journalists.
The package was spotted at 3:45, according to Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary. Nearby Lafayette Park was cleared as officers searched the area and the package’s contents, NBC News reports.
President Obama is currently in New York City, and Vice President Biden is also out of town.
