Pa. Paper Features Witch Who Moonlights as Prostitute
Maybe the reporter thought turning tricks referred to magic?
Pennsylvania’s Intelligencer Journal newspaper had to publish one hell of an explanation after it learned a witch profiled in its “Faith & Values’’ section moonlights as a prostitute.
All-seeing media critic Jim Romenesko featured the paper’s update on his site Monday. The update, written by Journal Executive Editor Barbara Hough Roda, explained that the paper was informed of Kim Cabot Consoli’s prostitution arrest after the story was published.

The Journal pulled the original story off its website, but it’s still available on Consoli’s personal webpage The Order of Avalon. Meanwhile, on Facebook, Consoli has taken pictures of the article in the actual paper. She also thanked Salem’s best-known witch, Laurie Cabot, calling her “the mother of my tradition.’’
