Here’s how to watch Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services live
As the pandemic keeps a number of congregants at home, many churches are making Christmas services available online and on television.
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many people who would ordinarily attend Christmas Day services in church will instead be worshipping from home.
Churches across the region will be providing livestreams or prerecorded services to congregants online and over the airwaves.
Here’s a partial list of some Boston-area churches broadcasting or streaming Christmas services:
Archdiocese of Boston
Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross will celebrate Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Services will be streamed on the cathedral’s Facebook page, and Midnight Mass will be broadcast on CatholicTV and streamed at CatholicTVLive.com.

Old South Church, Boston
Old South Church in Boston.
Boston’s Old South Church is livestreaming three Christmas Eve services as well as one on Christmas Day. The schedule of services and livestreams are available via the church’s website.
Twelfth Baptist Church, Boston
Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury will livestream its Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Streaming will be via the church’s Facebook page as well is its YouTube channel. More information is available on the church’s website.
Park Street Church, Boston

Boston’s historic Park Street Church is making its Christmas Eve service available online. According to the church’s website, its traditional service for the Eve of Christ’s Nativity will be streamed live from the sanctuary. Prelude begins at 4:45 p.m. with the service beginning at 5 p.m.
Bethel AME Church, Boston
On Christmas Eve at 5 p.m., Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain will present “a virtual retelling of the story of Jesus birth from our youth and families over Zoom.” You can watch via the church’s website.
Emmanuel Church, Boston
Boston’s Emmanuel Church will stream Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services via its YouTube channel. Christmas Eve’s livestream will begin at 7 p.m. with pre-recorded organ and choral offerings. Festival Holy Eucharist begins at 7:30 p.m. Christmas morning service of Holy Eucharist begins at 10 a.m. The church’s livestream Christmas schedule is available here.
Union Church, Old West Church, Boston
A Christmas Eve service of carols and scripture — a collaboration of Boston’s Union Church and Old West Church — begins at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom through Union Church’s website.
Trinity Church, Boston
Trinity Church Boston.
On Christmas Eve, Trinity Church will offer a Christmas pageant at 4 p.m., Festival Worship at 7 p.m., and a Christmas Compline at 11 p.m. Services will be available through the parish’s Facebook page and its website.
