A WCVB reporter who underwent emergency brain surgery is out of the hospital and recovering, the station reported Tuesday.

Bob Halloran, who works as an anchor for SportsCenter 5, has been off the air since late July when he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. He initially went to the doctor to have what he thought was a migraine checked.

“On the bright side, I’ve lost 15 pounds and gained 50 followers on Twitter,” Halloran joked a few weeks after the surgery, according to WCVB.

Halloran spent about two weeks at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He was recently released and his now recovering at home with his family, WCVB reported.
