Matthew Jordan Wilson Jr., fondly known as “Matty” and “Junior,” was just 18 years old when he was unexpectedly taken from us on October 24, 2025. Despite his short time with us, Matthew’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. He was the beloved son of Michelle Melander and Matthew Wilson.

Matthew was a beacon of hope and resilience — a son, a brother, a friend, a nephew, a grandson, and so much more. He was a bright light who inspired everyone around him with his kindness, compassion, and infectious smile. Even amidst challenges, Matty remained determined to build a brighter future for himself and his family, demonstrating the incredible strength of the human spirit.

Fearless and full of adventure, Matty loved seeing the world through the lens of his street bike helmet. He had big dreams and an unstoppable drive to experience life to the fullest. His warmth, generosity, and genuine nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Though his journey was tragically cut short, Matthew’s memory will continue to inspire us to cherish every moment and live each day to its fullest. His sudden passing has left his family and friends heartbroken, but his love and legacy will endure forever.

Matty was a senior at the Cove School in Plymouth. He loved ice skating, drawing, and photography, and had a deep passion for cars and motorcycles. He loved spending time with his brothers and teaching them new things. Through his school’s work program, he was employed part-time at Provost Companies, Inc., where he enjoyed learning about landscape and design.
