Jake Andrew Rosencranz, 29, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on June 21, 2025, after being struck by lightning while on vacation in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was surrounded by family during his final moments at the hospital in Daytona.

Jake, Leah, and Bonnie the dog lived a life of adventure in the Rocky Mountains. Frisco, Colorado, was their happy place and they spent every weekend hiking, skiing, golfing, biking, boating, and soaking up the sunshine. In July 2023, they got married at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, a special place where they have always enjoyed skiing and spending time with friends at the “beach.”

Jake will be remembered for his amazing smile, charming personality, infectious laugh, kind heart, and constant eagerness to make people happy. He was a truly remarkable husband, brother, son, and friend. Jake’s legacy will be carried on every day, forever.

Details of a celebration of Jake’s life will come at a later date.
