Local obituary: Toni Burstein, 19, of Newton

Antonia A. “Toni” Burstein passed away suddenly on March 30, 2024. She was 19 years old. Toni is survived by her mom, Becky, her 3 dogs, JJ “Boo Boo,” Mae, and Bentley, her cat Oliver, and her turtle Donut. She is also survived by an incredible group of friends we consider family.

Toni brought love and happiness wherever she went. Her laughter was captivating as was her energy. She was as bright as a star above. Toni was the most caring and selfless person when it came to her friends, family, and animals. Always being there for anyone at any time.

Her passion was music, animals, and being there for others. She wanted to be a therapist and work with children. She loved learning, and school was incredibly important to her. She spent her time giving back to others.

Visting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave., Needham, on Thursday, April 11th, from 4-7pm. Anyone who was lucky enough to have known her is welcome to attend to pay their respects. A graveside service will be held at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St., Newton, on Friday, April 12th, at noon.
