The Red Sox weren’t the only ones in Boston perhaps a bit foggy this morning.
The entire city woke up Tuesday to a blanket of dense fog that lingered well overnight until after sunrise, socking in downtown Boston’s high-rises with a rare undercast.

The conditions prompted the National Weather Service to issue a dense fog advisory for Eastern Massachusetts until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
By mid-morning, the fog had mostly dissipated leading into what the service said should be a “mostly sunny and mild” day — but not before many residents snapped photos of the somewhat surreal conditions.
