The challenge follows two previous spats between the mayor and the Republican presidential candidate.

Gov. Charlie Baker challenged Walsh earlier this week when he took the plunge on the steps of the State House in a “Free Brady’’ T-shirt.

“Seeing as how the governor called me out on it, I figured we’re going to free him from something,’’ Walsh said, according to Boston Magazine. “I’m not sure what we’re freeing him from yet, but we’re going figure that out later.’’

Pete Frates, one of the co- founders of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that has raised over $200 million since it went viral last August, attended Friday’s event outside city hall in a “Free Brady’’ T-shirt.

In addition to The Donald, Walsh also challenged state Attorney General Maura Healey and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio.
