A tractor-trailer driver was killed Monday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 on the North Shore, authorities said.
Shortly before 11 a.m., troopers responded to the crash, which involved the trailer-tractor and a passenger vehicle, near Exit 70 by Danvers and Peabody, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police.
The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered fatal injuries, police said.
The identities of the drivers and the cause of the crash were not immediately released.
To manage the incident, the state Department of Transportation initially closed I-95 northbound at Exit 70 at 11:15 a.m., the department said in a statement.
The two right lanes of I-95 northbound remained closed until approximately 2:40 p.m., police said.
All lane restrictions were lifted by 6:15 p.m., according to MassDOT.
