A person suffered serious injuries in a fall Tuesday morning in Stow, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded around 9:05 a.m. to the Department of Fire Services Firefighting Academy facility, where a person had been reportedly injured in a fall, according to a statement from the Stow Fire Department.
First responders located the individual and provided medical care before requesting two additional ambulance units to assist, the fire department said.
Officials described the injuries as “very serious.”
A medical helicopter was initially requested to transport the patient, but weather conditions prevented it from responding. A flight transport crew instead transported the person by ground to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
The person’s identity and current condition have not been released.
