Victim identified in fatal Roxbury hit-and-run

The victim of a fatal Roxbury hit-and-run earlier this month was identified as 47-year-old man from Worcester, prosecutors said.

The victim of a fatal hit-and-run in Roxbury earlier this month has been identified, prosecutors announced.

Steven Stewart, 47, was killed in the crash on March 20, the office of the Suffolk County District Attorney said in a press release. 

Stewart was hit near Southampton Street and Bradston Street in Roxbury around 11:34 a.m., Boston.com previously reported.

The Worcester resident was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver involved in the crash fled the scene; the vehicle was later found, BPD said previously.

No arrests have been made in connection to the fatal collision, Boston police told Boston.com in an email Tuesday.
