1 dead after crash in Mattapan, police say
1 person was killed in a late night Sunday car crash, police said.
One person died in a car crash in Mattapan late Sunday night, police said.
The crash occurred at 11:14 p.m. on American Legion Highway at the intersection of Walk Hill Street and Canterbury Street, members of the Boston Police Department wrote in an incident report.
Officers who responded to the crash found the victim still in the car, with the car propped on the sidewalk, officers wrote.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, BPD said.
There was extensive damage to the front and driver side of the car, police said.
