Marshfield police are seeking the public’s help finding an 8-year-old boy who went missing Tuesday night.
Callahan Pierce was last seen near 236 Moraine St. at about 7 p.m., the Marshfield Police Department said on Facebook. Pierce was last seen carrying a backpack and wearing a black Marshfield sweatshirt and black sweatpants, police said.
The department asked residents living in the area who have home cameras to check them to help police determine Pierce’s whereabouts. In a follow-up Facebook post, police asked residents to avoid coming to the area where Pierce was last seen while police investigate.
“We greatly appreciate our community coming together as we always do in difficult times, however, we ask that no one come to the scene because it will impede our ability for our infrared cameras and any additional human scent will throw off our dogs. … We have lots of resources working on this,” police wrote in the post.
Marshfield police asked anyone with information to call the department at 781-834-6655.
