One dead after crash in Tewksbury
One person died after two vehicles collided head-on, police said.
Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Tewksbury Sunday.
Authorities responded to Andover Street, in the area of Cooney Road, at about 6:48 p.m., according to the Tewksbury Police Department.
They found that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision. First responders treated both drivers at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals. One of the drivers later died from their injuries.
Police did not release the identity of the person who died.
Andover Street was closed for several hours on Sunday night so that investigators could complete the crash reconstruction process, police said. It remains under investigation.
