MBTA Transit Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman accused of assaulting a man aboard the Green Line earlier this month.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the Prudential station stop, police shared in an X post.
The suspect “viciously punched” a 71-year-old man in the face before spraying him with pepper spray, according to police. Authorities have classified the case as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The police did not release any information about what may have led to the confrontation or the extent of the victim’s injuries.
Authorities ask anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident to contact the MBTA Transit Police Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050. Tipsters may remain anonymous, police said.
