Police are searching for a Dorchester teen after she was reported missing from her home Thursday night, the Boston Police Department said.
BPD is looking for Mela Rosario, 17, after she reportedly went missing from her Dorchester home around 11 p.m. on Jan. 29, BPD said.
According to Boston police, Rosario last contacted her family around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and was last seen near the Brockton courthouse after she had a scheduled appearance in family court.
Rosario was supposed to return to her home on Thornley Street by 10 p.m. Thursday, BPD said.
Rosario is described to be a 5’1” girl with brown skin, a medium build with brown eyes, and brown medium-length hair with a blonde streak in it, police said.
Rosario was last seen wearing a pink jacket, black leggings, brown Ugg boots, and glasses with clear black frames, BPD said.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding Rosario’s whereabouts to call the Boston Police Department or contact the District C-11 Detectives at (617) 343-4335.
