14-year-old boy charged with murder of Lynn man
Jayden Maldonado, 14, is charged with the murder of Lionel Issac Martinez, 18.
A 14-year-old boy from Lynn was charged with murder on Jan. 23, after the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old, prosecutors announced.
Jayden Maldonado, 14, was arrested on Friday, after he allegedly shot and killed Lionel Issac Martinez, 18, on Jan. 8 in Lynn, the office of Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said in a press release.
The shooting occurred on Jackson St., where Martinez was found conscious and alert but later succumbed to his injuries in Salem Hospital later that evening, prosecutors said.
Maldonado is being held without bail and is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on March 20, Tucker’s office said.
