A pedestrian was taken to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car in Canton on Wednesday evening.
Local emergency personnel responded to the scene at Randolph Street and Wentworth Road shortly before 7 p.m., according to a release from Canton police and fire. “Rescuers located an adult male in the roadway suffering from serious traumatic injuries,” the departments said.
The man was struck by a sedan. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police, officials said.
“Randolph Street does have crosswalks in the vicinity, but it is unclear at this time if the victim was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck,” the release said, nothing the crash is under investigation.
