A man and a woman were found dead inside a Fairhaven residence on New Year’s Eve, according to Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn’s office.
The victims were identified as Rafael Pedraza, 60, and Brenda Rosario, 51. Both were Fairhaven residents.
Police and EMS were dispatched to 22 Jameson St. sometime after 7 p.m. on Wednesday night for a welfare check. They found both Pedraza and Rosario dead inside, officials said.
There were no signs of forced entry. First responders found drug paraphernalia and “suspected narcotics” inside the residence during an initial investigation, according to Quinn’s office.
Both victims were transported to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where autopsies will take place and official causes of death will be determined. State Police and the Fairhaven Police Department are leading an ongoing investigation.
