A teen was struck by a car in the middle of a Milford street late Tuesday afternoon.
Around 4:41 p.m., Milford police received multiple reports of a pedestrian struck by a black Toyota SUV near the intersection of Main and Water streets, the department said on Facebook.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed an 18-year-old male lying on the ground. He reported back and limb pain and was taken to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, police said.
The initial investigation suggests the teen may have been assisting a large box truck backing out of a parking lot, according to police.
In a video of the incident shared by police, the teen is seen standing in the middle of the street. He attempts to avoid the car at the last moment but is spun to the ground after being struck.
