The city of Leominster held a Christmas parade for a first grader with inoperable brain cancer on Sunday.

Hadley Boucher, 6, of Lunenberg, was diagnosed with the inoperable tumor on her brain stem in April, according to a GoFundMe page created for her family.

Residents were asked to decorate their cars, dress up, and drive past the Boucher’s house for “Haddie’s Holly Jolly Christmas Parade,” an event organizer posted on Facebook.

“I’m just blown away. There’s no words that can explain this,” Hadley’s mother, Alyssa Boucher, told Boston25. “With everything our family is going through, I think seeing her smile and everything light up is what we need to cherish these moments and memories.”

Hadley, also known as Haddie B, is the youngest of three girls. “She’s bright, sweet, and absolutely beautiful — a little girl whose light shines in everything she does,” the GoFundMe reads.

When the page was created in late April, the GoFundMe’s original fundraising goal was $100,000 for medical expenses. Now the goal is $250,000, and over $240,000 has been raised so far.

“The Bouchers have always been the first to show up for others — with open arms, big hearts, and helping hands. Now it’s our turn to show up for them,” the fundraiser organizer, Stacey Houghton, wrote.

Houghton also created a “Hope for Haddie” Facebook group, which is trying to have someone from each of the 50 states send Christmas cards to Haddie. It also sold ornaments as a fundraiser.
