Apparent human skull found in concrete in Boston

Authorities confirmed the skull is being examined by a forensic anthropologist, NBC10 Boston reported.

Workers at a South Boston pier found what appears to be a human skull buried in concrete, NBC10 Boston reported. 

The workers were repairing concrete along the Black Falcon Terminal, a maritime facility managed by Massachusetts Port Authority, when they made the discovery, according to NBC10 Boston.

Authorities confirmed the skull is being examined by forensic anthropologist, NBC10 Boston reported.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office told NBC10 Boston it was notified Thursday about the apparent skull.

Massport referred Boston.com to the Massachusetts State Police.

State Police referred Boston.com to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
