MSPCA removes 62 animals from horrible conditions in Dudley

The animals included chickens, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, parrots, ferrets, horses, rabbits, turtles, pigs, and goats, the MSPCA said.

MSCPA-Angell reportedly removed 62 animals from unsanitary conditions in a Dudley home on Friday.

A few months ago, MSPCA received a report that horses were in poor physical condition and living in unsanitary conditions.

Some of the animals were living without adequate access to food and water, the MSCPA said they discovered during an investigation.

After the owner failed to provide both care and a sanitary environment, the MSPCA executed a search warrant and seized the animals, the organization told Boston.com in a statement.

The 62 animals included chickens, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, parrots, ferrets, horses, rabbits, turtles, pigs, and goats, the MSPCA said.

The animals “are now undergoing medical evaluations and settling into our care,” said MSPCA-Angell Law Enforcement Director Chris Schindler in a statement.

“Obviously, this kind of large operation puts an immense strain on our own capacity, but these animals needed help and we knew we had to pull out all the stops to get it for them,” he added.
