A person, likely sleeping, inside a Dunkin’ dumpster was picked up by a garbage truck Wednesday morning, according to police.
Worcester police received a report of a person inside a garbage truck from a trash collector who could see the person on the truck’s camera system at the Grafton Street Dunkin’ around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The person was rescued from the truck by firefighters and EMS, police say. No extrication tools were used.
The person was conscious and alert during the incident, according to police. The person sustained no obvious major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, police say.
