Boston woman plans to buy a house after $2.5 million scratch ticket win

A Boston woman won a $2.5 million grand prize on an instant ticket game.

Celene Chen is the third and final grand prize winner for the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,500,000 Merry & Bright” $10 instant ticket game, the lottery commission announced.

Chen received her winnings in a one-time cash payment of $1,625,000 before taxes. She plans to buy a house with her earnings, according to the lottery commission.
