A Malden teen has died a month after being injured in an early October shooting in Mattapan.
G’Kiyah Lewis, 18, died on Friday from the gunshot wound she sustained on Oct. 11, according to Boston police.
Lewis was one of three victims shot near 2 Hiawatha Road at about 1:24 p.m. that Saturday, police say.
All three victims were transported to local hospitals after the shooting. The two male victims sustained injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, police say.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made, according to police.
Lewis’s mother, Rehema Grayson, told The Boston Globe that her daughter was a senior at Malden High School and she had two younger sisters, ages 7 and 15. She said her daughter’s organs were donated to three people.
