A man was fatally shot near a Jamaica Plain apartment complex Wednesday evening, police said.
Officers found an adult man with a gunshot wound in the area of 15 Saint Rose St. around 5:50 p.m., Boston police said in a statement.
Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The victim has not yet been publicly identified.
A crime scene was set up at South Street Apartments, which are near Saint Rose Street, The Boston Globe reported.
The incident is under investigation by the Homicide Unit, and anyone with information should call (617) 343-4470.
