A man was severely injured in a shooting in East Boston on Wednesday evening, police said.
Boston police responded around 7:57 p.m. to 321 Brandywyne Drive for the report of a person shot, police said.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The shooting happened near Brandywyne Village, a private housing complex.
“We are fully cooperating with the police and there is no active threat to the community at this time. We will keep our residents informed,” a management spokesperson Brandywyne Village said in a statement to Boston25 News.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
