Transit police are asking the public for help identifying a person of interest in connection with a recent assault at a Somerville MBTA station.
According to transit police, a man used a knife to assault another person at the Davis Square T station around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators didn’t release further details about the incident or the victim’s condition. Police said the alleged assailant is facing assault and battery charges.
Transit police shared a surveillance image of the suspect on X and urged anyone with information to contact them.

Anyone with information about the assault or the person of interest can call transit police at 617-222-1050. Investigators said tipsters can remain anonymous.
