A woman was rescued from a swamp in Walpole on Wednesday.
Walpole police received a report of a woman having a mental health crisis and discussing self-harm in the area of Ginley Road and Cobbs Pond around 8:30 p.m.
Officers were able to locate the woman in the deep swamp nearby with assistance from Walpole Fire, Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, and drone units, police say.
The woman was extricated from four feet of water, police say.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries from being in cold water, and was given a mental health evaluation, police say.
