A Boston police officer was injured Thursday after being struck by a vehicle in Mattapan, according to police.
The officer was doing detail work on Cummins Highway shortly before 11:30 a.m. when the vehicle ran over the officer’s foot, a police spokesperson told Boston.com.
The vehicle’s operator stayed on the scene, and the officer was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not confirmed whether the vehicle’s operator will face charges in the incident.
