A Massachusetts man reportedly died after his motorcycle went off an overpass in Rhode Island.
Rhode Island State Police and the Providence Fire Department received a report of a motorcycle crash on an overpass on Route 6 West at 5:27 p.m. Sunday, Providence fire says.
The motorcyclist went over the guardrail and landed approximately 60 feet below on the Route 10 on-ramp at Westminster Street, according to the fire department.
The man, estimated to be in his 20s or 30s, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with critical injuries, officials.
Cedrix Teixeira, 26, of Bridgewater, was the victim and was later pronounced dead at the hospital, Rhode Island State Police told NBC10 Boston.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing by State Police.
