A single-car crash in Rehoboth left the driver dead and three juvenile passengers injured on Monday morning.
Massachusetts State Police received a report of the crash on I-195 east at mile marker 4.2 around 9:15 a.m.
State Police believe the driver suffered a medical emergency, according to a press release shared with Boston.com.
First responders transported the driver and three juveniles to a nearby hospital in Rhode Island via ambulance.
The driver, whose name and age has not yet been released, died as a result of their injuries at the hospital, police said. Authorities did not have an update on the condition of the three injured passengers as of Tuesday morning.
“We offer our condolences to the decedent’s loved ones,” State Police said in the statement.
