A clubhouse and pub at the Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont were destroyed by a raging fire Wednesday night, causing irreparable damage.
The town’s volunteer fire department responded to the blaze at the ski and golf resort at about 10:30 p.m., the ski resort said in a Facebook post. Fire crews from Waitsfield, Fayston, Moretown, and Waterbury also responded to the scene.
“We want to sincerely thank the Warren, Waitsfield, Fayston, Moretown, and Waterbury fire departments for their hardwork and professionalism,” the resort said on Facebook.
No one was injured, but the Clubhouse and Hogan’s Pub were completely destroyed, according to the Facebook post. Despite the damage, they are planning to keep the golf club running for the remainder of the season.
Nearby traffic was shut down as the firefighters worked through the night to put out the flames, according to Vermont State Police. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Resort representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday evening.
